When is the FDA Biennial Registration Renewal period for Food Facility?
Food facility registration must be renewed every even year, between October and December.
Example :
If you have submitted initial registration in the month of September 2017, then you must renew food facility registration before December 2018 and your next renewal will be in the year 2020.
Please note that the registration renewal period is every even calendar year ( 2018, 2020. 2022… ), this should not be confused as once in two years.
If you have a valid U.S Agent contract with our company, food facility registration renewal will be submitted free of charge.
Our Annual U.S Agent fee is $ 299 which should be paid after every 12 months from the date of the initial U.S Agent appointment.
Food facility registration renewal for the year 2020 will begin on the 1st of October and the last date for registration is 31st December. FDA requires food facilities to provide the Unique Facility Identifier (UFI) during the food facility. FDA accepts DUNS number as a UFI for food facilities. If you do not have a DUNS number, you can get free of charge.
