Show buyers your registration is real
Every FDAbasics Certificate of Registration carries a unique Control Number and a QR code. Anyone can use them to confirm, in seconds, that the certificate is genuine and still valid.
You can put that check on your own website. Add a badge to your site, link it to your certificate, and any buyer, importer, or customs broker can confirm your registration without emailing you first.
Why put it on your website
Buyers check suppliers before they order
A purchasing manager comparing two suppliers will trust the one whose registration they can confirm themselves over the one who promises to send a PDF later.
It answers the question before it is asked
Importers, distributors, and customs brokers routinely ask for proof of FDA registration. A link on your website answers that in advance, and cuts down the back and forth when a shipment is waiting.
Most of your competitors cannot do this
A certificate that anyone can check is a stronger claim than a certificate that sits in an email attachment.
Step 1
Find your verification link
Your Control Number is printed at the bottom of your certificate, in the verification strip beside the QR code. It looks like FDB-1234-5678.
Your verification link is that number added to our verify page:
https://www.fdabasics.com/verify/?id=FDB-1234-5678
Open it to check that it shows your facility and says Verified. If you cannot find your Control Number, email info@fdabasics.com and we will send it.
Step 2
Choose a badge
Six designs, free to use for as long as your registration is current. Download the one that suits your site.

Step 3
Add it to your website
- Download the badge and upload it to your own website, the same way you would any other image. Please host it yourself rather than linking to the file on our server, so your page loads quickly and keeps working if we ever move the file.
- Link the badge to your verification link from Step 1, so a visitor who clicks it goes straight to your certificate.
- Describe the image in the alt text. Use your company name, for example: FDA Registration Certificate for Acme Foods, verifiable at FDAbasics.
- Place it where buyers look: an About, Quality, Certifications, or Compliance page, or your footer.
If your site is built in WordPress, Shopify, Wix, or Squarespace, the steps are the same: insert an image, set its link, and fill in the alt text field.
Wording for the link
If you would rather use text than a badge, or want a line beside it, use whatever suits your site. Some examples:
It is your website, so write it in your own words. There is no requirement to link to us, and your certificate stays valid either way.
Prefer to use code?
This version uses live text instead of an image, so it stays sharp on every screen and can be read by screen readers. Replace the Control Number, your company name, and the image address with your own copy of the badge, then paste it into your page.
Questions
Who can use these badges?
Any current FDAbasics client with a Certificate of Registration. There is no charge.
What does a visitor see when they click it?
Our verification page, showing the facility name, country, Control Number, issue date, and validity dates, along with the certificate's current status.
Does this prove FDA approval?
No. It confirms that FDAbasics issued the certificate and that the registration was verified as current when it was issued. Registration with the FDA does not constitute approval, clearance, or endorsement by the agency, and FDAbasics is not affiliated with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
What happens when my registration is renewed?
You receive a new certificate with a new Control Number, so update the link on your website. The old link keeps working and tells visitors a newer certificate exists.
Can buyers verify without the link?
Yes. They can scan the QR code on the certificate, or enter the Control Number at www.fdabasics.com/verify.
Do I have to add the badge?
No. It is there if it helps you.
